may 5, 2008

I spent the last 6 days shooting in Mexico City, it was a great experience. The writer and I met a variety of characters, metal musicians who had occupations like being a Jiu Jitsu dojo, a psychiatrist, an art historian, a seller of raw gold...And covering Nightwish for 2 nights was crazy involving over 3,000 weeping, screaming fans. I'm home recovering now.

april 4, 2008

Japan is like no other place in the world, an entirely different planet all together. The shows were awesome, and we explored every day, all day. I fell asleep standing up in Sapparo. I will be posting slide shows up soon.

I've been traveling for work since our return and am excited about approaching projects. Please check back soon for updates!

february 20, 2008

I am home from time on the road with The Locust. After Europe, we did 5 weeks in U.S./Canada in November, just in time for the really cold nights. In January, we did 2 weeks in the U.S., and now we're home. Aside from Japan in March, we have no other tours planned this year.

I've been shooting since I returned, music and fashion. It feels nice to be back in sunny Southern California. I'm working on updates for the site now, so please check back! I'll have slide shows of tour done, as well as tearsheets, portraits, scrapbook, and live shots. You won't know where to start.

october 7, 2007

I have safely returned from my 7 weeks in Europe, almost unscathed. It was amazing and brutal at the same time. I took the last week, after tour was done, to explore Barcelona, Paris, Den Haag and Amsterdam...which meant there was way too much to see in such a short amount of time. I took way too many photos and some video footage, of which both will be up soon!

I have photographs of Grinderman in the new issue of MOJO, and of Fall Out Boy and Every Time I Die in the new issues of Rock Sound, nice.

august 13, 2007

I'm going to Europe! I'm tour managing/documenting The Locust while they shred for 6 weeks. Then I'm taking an extra week to explore Paris and Barcelona, I'm heading home October 3rd... I have daily access to my email, so please stay in touch.

Touring Mexico was definitely different. We were only able to spend from 11pm to 4am in Mexico City, sandwiched between waiting at airports, that bummed me out. I had heard so much about Mexico City. The show was crazy though. 36 hours with no sleep. But it was an experience, and we came back with new friends, Maniqui Lazer, they were wonderful hosts and traveling companions.

Next tour is Europe, we start August 14th in Helsinki. I'm putting together a small photo book to have at merch tables. Until then, I'm in Los Angeles soaking up bbq time and shooting.

may 5, 2007

I'm home from The Locust tour, it was awesome. I'm putting together slide shows of scenes from the road. In the meantime, check out the new AP, they're in it...as are my photos. Here's our itinerary for the next one --

6/22 Mexicali, Mexico @ CEART
6/23 Mexico City, Mexico @ La Victoria
6/24 Monterrey, Mexico @ Café Iguana
6/28 LA, CA @ Troubadour
6/30 Tijuana, Mexico @ Box Underground

Sweet!

I'll be catching up on sleep and shooting while home.xo

february 25, 2007

I updated the scrapbook and tearsheets sections! I recently collaborated with Aaron Turner with the layout for the new Pelican album, I am more than pleased with the result. It was a pleasure.

I'm going on tour this Spring! I'll be on the road with the Locust, who are taking the Daughters and Cattle Decapitation along for the ride. Here are the dates --

january 10, 2007

I'm currently working on my book, and in the process, found some oldie but goodies. You can find them in the "scrapbook" section -- most are outtakes. I've put slide shows up in the "features" section, and will have one from tour with ISIS and their time with TOOL up soon! There are also new tearsheets! Welcome to 2007.

october 29, 2006

It's been awhile since I updated this section. I'm headed to New York on Monday for around a week. I will post then! In the meantime, I have updated the sections! xo

july 23, 2006.

It's still hot in Los Angeles, even hotter. So very busy. Did a project this past week that I'm so psyched about. Keep an eye on portraits, tearsheets, scrapbook...the whole enchilada.

june 18, 2006.

It's hot in Los Angeles... I have new tearsheets up involving AFI, Every Time I Die and studio shots of Mastodon for Rock Sound and Band of Horses in SOMA. Keep an eye on the scrapbook, there's always new shots to check out! I put together a slideshow (in the "features") of recent time spent in the studio with ISIS while they record their new one. Wow.

I had a shoot with Tigarah from Japan at Venice Beach, you can see some of the photos in the "portraits" section! She was a lot of fun to work with, and we ended up getting nearly waist deep in waves and sand.

may 20, 2006.

I had an amazing time in Seattle. Photographed during the day, caught up over drinks at night. Shot These Arms Are Snakes in the studio and their new press shots. Get ready to be blown away with this album. We shot photos in the trees over cans of PBR...nice! I spent an afternoon in the studio with the Blood Brothers while they recorded with John Goodmanson and Guy Picciotto, that was rad. I'm feeling itchy for another tour with those boys. Had some time in the studio with Planes Mistaken For Stars recording with Matt Bayles, these are cool dudes, I hope to see them play LA soon. Overall, I'm still recovering from my time in the Northwest with the whole family. (**check the portraits and scrapbook section for new photos!)
Today was my first official day at the beach since I moved here. Up north, Zuma beach, got to see how the other half lives. So sweet.
Staf Magazine based in Barcelona did a 5-page feature on me! It's called "Sky Is The Limit", under my "tearsheets". It looks real pretty.

april 21, 2006.

I photographed AFI the other day, sweet guys. I will be in Seattle for a few days early May to take alot of photos, I'm psyched.

april 7, 2006.

I keep ending up in San Diego. Spring break visiting friends for a few days, then rolled down with Two Gallants - they're playing your town soon, go see them. I photographed the boys of Every Time I Die, Tool drummer Danny Carey and took shots of Two Gallants, the Cold War Kids and Wires On Fire at the Casbah. Working on a photo book with friend and fellow photographer, Travis Keller and putting together the most kick ass travel magazine you will ever lay your eyes on (I'll keep you posted).

march 23, 2006.

Los Angeles is pretty sweet so far. I moved my belongings into my room, then flew off to Austin for some SXSW action. (I have new live shots up). Now I'm back and settling in.

february 8, 2006.

I have a live shot of Kanye West in the new MOJO, a shot of Minus The Bear in Thrasher, and shots from the Red Bull Music Academy in Synthesis. Sweet! Oh, and if you live in Seattle, the Valentine's issue of the Seattle Weekly has beautiful dildo shots I took at Babeland.
I'm finally packing up and moving South. It was either South or East, and South is easier on the wallet. I'm moving to Los Angeles around March 1st.

january 11, 2006.

Happy new year. I like this year already. I was even able to escape the 25 days straight of rain and counting in seattle to sacramento for a day. I saw blue sky which was nice.

december 16, 2005.

New!! Tearsheets, portraits, scrapbook material!! Get it while it's hot.
I just completed a 5 week long, 12 to 16 hour a day shoot with the Red Bull Music Academy. It was ridiculous, but in a good way. It was like being on tour but never leaving home. Crazy. I have some stuff on my site, or you can check out the daily life goings on at - www.redbullmusicacademy.com (the Seattle area).
Now it's back to "real life". Back to freelancing and looking for a tour to join, anyone leaving soon? xo

november 21, 2005.

There's something about being surrounded by musicians from all over the world, spending every moment of the day with them for two weeks straight. Unreal. I miss them all.

I have new tearsheets and portraits up! xo

october 09, 2005.

I've seen amazing shows lately - Neon Blonde's first show in a basement, Dungen (serious contact high), and the Mars Volta/Hella show. I have photos in "rock n' roll". New tearsheets are up, as well as new portraits and additional scrapbook stuff.

september 07, 2005.

I'm excited to say that I have a photo of the Shins in the new Tokion and a photo of Kinski in the new Anthem! Awesome.

august 21, 2005.

I have new tearsheets up - involving Trivium, the Transplants and Fall Out Boy! I had an art opening the other night, thanks for everyone who came out! Aside from the amount of wine I polished off, it went very smoothly and was good times.

july 25, 2005.

So far the summer has taken me to a couple days of Warped Tour in Southern California, flying over hurricane Dennis to land in Orlando and most recently, Ozzfest in Jersey. Nice.

june 14, 2005.

I have photos of Foo Fighters in the July issue of Rock Sound - in my tearsheets section!

june 13, 2005.

I put up my tearsheets from the issues of Rock Zone (out of Spain) that have my photos of Trent Reznor, Foo Fighters and Jimmy Eat World in them. Now I just have to go to Spain.

june 06, 2005.

I put the last of my Europe photos up - scenery from the last days and apartment hunting overseas.
I have a photo of the sweet boys of Ratatat in the new Thrasher, the cover/feature of the lovely ladies of Sleater-Kinney for the new Rockpile, and the feature photos of Finch for the new Rock Sound.
The Moon Rats are my new favorite band in Seattle.

may 16, 2005.

I HAVE EUROPE PHOTOS UP!!! they're in the "features" section, the top link. enjoy.
I had some "scrapbook" photos I hadn't gotten around to uploading yet, they're up too - shots from my trip to LA to shoot Trent Reznor and Finch. You'll also find polaroids from Europe and Seattle too.
I have a photo of the A-Frames in the new Thrasher, and the Blood Brothers on the cover of NOW in Toronto.

april 18, 2005.

I made it back to Seattle and only lost a towel. I don't know how to describe the time that I had in Europe, I'm hoping the tons of photos I took will make it easier. Good times were had - killer shows, a hike in the Black Forest, the transformation to a bike gang of 16 during a 3 hour tour of Prague, dance offs, and the lazy times on the bus playing the xbox or watching movies. Lovely. I hear jet lag knocking but I'll beat it before it does me in.

march 25, 2005.

i'm heading overseas and tearing it up. I'm meeting up with the Blood Brothers starting in Copenhagen. It's all I can think about right now. Here's the itinerary, if you're around you should come to the show! I'll be the one running around with the camera. xx

march 14, 2005.

The awesome crew over at Venus Magazine featured a handful of my tour photos in their Sping issue, and I have a photo of John Pettibone showing off his tattoos in the new issue of Revolver.

It's nice to be given the opportunity to get out of town for a few days to shoot. Recently I returned to Arizona for one night to photograph desert locals, Jimmy Eat World. It was good times - delicious mexican food, a radio show, and some time walking around old Scottsdale with the guys and new friends from London. I had my first mango margarita, yum! I still think of their practice space from time to time, I can't wait until friends of mine are able to have such a place. Last weekend was LA to photograph the young Finch and icon, Trent Reznor - it was definitely an experience I won't soon forget.

I spent the next few days after getting back mostly in bed. Wore me out!

january 24, 2005.

I have a photo of Isis in the new issue of Thrasher and one of the Blood Brothers in the new SG magazine, and I've updated nearly everything - tearsheets, portraits, the scrapbook. Happy hunting. xx

january 05, 2005.

I have a photo of The Ponys in the new issue of Thrasher.
I decided to make alittle slide show of my trip to LA, you can check it out here. Happy frickin' new year!

december 24, 2004.

I have photos of the Libertines on the cover of Rockpile and in the inside.
I took a day trip down to LA this week to photograph Mars Volta, it was awesome. Being able to get some sun before I headed back to the Seattle fog was nice. Meeting J. Bennett and Matt Rubin in person was cool too, I don't often get the opportunity to meet email pals. And whenever I'm in southern California, mexican food is a must, I accidentally ordered enough to feed a family of three...I barely made a dent, so I contributed the leftovers to Hydrahead's refrigerator.

december 8, 2004.

I have a photo of Court & Spark in the new issue of Thrasher. I'm going to see Slayer on Friday.

november 27, 2004.

I put up new live shots, portraits, tearsheets and a new feature involving half of These Arms Are Snakes and some killer t-shirts. I have a photo of Death Cab For Cutie in the January issue of AP.

november 5, 2004.

I have photos of the Blood Brothers in the new issue of AP, and IQU in the new issue of Resonance. <*insert avoidance of talking about the election here*>. My ipod broke today.... damn. I signed up to get a new one, if you go to this link - http://www.freeiPods.com/?r=9012794
and sign up for one sweet deal, you can help me get a new one!
Kill Me Tomorrow played a show in Seattle the other night, with Chinese Stars and Moving Units. It was awesome seeing the KMT crew again, I so wish we all lived in the same city. They're on their way home now. Nuts.

october 20, 2004.

CMJ was exhausting and awesome. As expected, too many things to do and too many people to see.... I slept for 12 hours when I got home. I'm working on updating some things on my site as well as updating photos that haven't made it up yet. I've been shooting alot of bands I'm excited about, so please keep an eye on "portraits" and "rock n roll"!

october 02, 2004.

I have photos in the new issue of AP - These Arms Are Snakes, The Blood Brothers and Gatsby's American Dream - and photos of Dillinger Escape Plan in the new Staf (spain). I've decided to head out to New York for CMJ in a couple weeks!

september 23, 2004.

I have photos of Hint Hint in the November issue of Thrasher, photos of Dillinger Escape Plan and These Arms Are Snakes in the most recent issue of Rockpile and photos of the Ponys and Les Savy Fav in the new Skyscraper.
These Arms Are Snakes are on tour right now, playing tonight in DC. You should go see them! They're with Engine Down. The Blood Brothers leave for 6 weeks on October 1st, you should go to their show!
I've been shooting alot, it's been crazy which is fine with me!

august 24, 2004.

I have photos in the October issues of AP and Thrasher. A few weeks ago, I took portraits of Zach Hill, the amazing drummer in Hella. Later that night, I watched them play, and I was floored. I took the photos to accompany Zach's new book "Destroying Yourself is too Accessible", you should grab a copy from suicidequeeze.net or tnibooks.com!

august 12, 2004.

TOUR PHOTOS OF THE BLOOD BROTHERS in the "features" section! and I have a bunch of new portraits and tearsheets up!

july 26, 2004.

I'm going on tour with The Blood Brothers! We leave June 30th. I'll be catching everything on film, and I'll be selling their merch too. Also on tour will be Kill Me Tomorrow, The Chromatics, and on some dates, The Daughters. Coming soon to your neighborhood!

I have new tearsheets up, I've meaning to do that for awhile. A couple of them are of Modest Mouse, one in Thrasher, the other in Rolling Stone. The shoot was awesome seeing as it was at Isaac's house rather than the typical stale club backdrop. I've never seen such a spread at a BBQ, it was a great afternoon! They're on tour for months, so you should go see them when they're in your neighborhood.

may 17, 2004.

I put photos I shot of The Blood Brothers while they were in the studio, in the features section. Their new stuff sounds awesome!
I have photos of the Liars and Icarus Line in the new issue of Skyscraper.

may 11, 2004.

Studio photos of These Arms Are Snakes recording their new album, "oxxeneers or the lion sleeps when its antelope go home" are up in my "features" section. This record will blow you away, no joke. I worked alongside Ryan Frederiksen (guitar) with the artwork, it turned out amazing.

may 07, 2004.

Tour photos are up!! Your Enemies Friends, The Locust, and Dillinger Escape Plan -- they're in my "features" section. There are tons of photos, but that makes sense seeing as that's the main reason I'm on tour...to take tons of photos.

april 25, 2004.

I'm working on the tour slide show featuring Your Enemies Friends, The Locust, and Dillinger Escape Plan - finally!

I recently spent time in the studio with These Arms Are Snakes (at Litho and Spectre) and the Blood Brothers (at Robert Lang) and will have photos up soon.

april 14, 2004.

I spent a few hours in the studio with Mastodon for Rocksound - Matt Bayles recorded their new album in Seattle. Slide show in the features section!

april 3, 2004.

New feature with The Shins! I have photos of Akimbo in the new Thrasher.

march 23, 2004.

Yes, the Your Enemies Friends/Locust/Dillinger Escape Plan tour photos are not up yet, but they will be soon. I just got back from SXSW and have some catching up to do. It was awesome meeting fellow photographer Jeremy Weiss, hopefully he'll have some photos from Austin and his tour with the Bronx on his site really soon. For the time being, I put up two new features -- Some Girls and Akimbo, and I have photos of the Shins on the cover and in the April issue of Rockpile.

march 02, 2004.

I got home yesterday and catching up on sleep. Tour photos will be up soon, money would help. Meanwhile, I have photos of Bo Diddley and Mudhoney in the current issue of MOJO, photos of These Arms Are Snakes in the current issue of Punk Planet, and photos in the upcoming Thrasher.

Happy New Year, everyone! I hope there were good times had. Due to popular demand, I plan on having prints up for sale soon! (I really will too) And, I'm trying to go on tour again next month, so please help a girl out and buy prints! But until I get a chance to hand pick choices, let me know if there's a photo on my site that you'd want as a 5x7! for sale

I have photos coming out the next issue of MOJO. That rules.
